Accounts Assistant, Insurance Accounts (IA)

The Role: 

This exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Insurance Accounts (IA) team in London to assist in reconciliation and process activities for our back-office. You will be involved in speaking to internal stakeholders, managing payments and reconciling accounts to a high standard. There is variety and breadth in the role, and you will need to build fantastic relationships with your key internal stakeholders and ensure these payments are made on time and in line with procedures. 
You will focus on all of the following and more:

Duties & Responsibilities: 
  • Ensure the reporting of business is captured and reported in accordance with client protocols.
  • Perform reconciliation and process activities across insurance business, including Bordereaux.
  • Take ownership of identifying data quality issues.
  • Liaise with finance manager, underwriters and brokers maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.
  • Produce, monitor, and complete Bordereaux processing.
  • Analyse and interpret monthly and quarterly Bordereaux processing statistics provided by the outsourced team.
  • Attend regular catch-up meetings with the outsourced Bordereaux processing team.
  • Perform any ad-hoc activities related to finance and operations.
Skills/Experience: 
  • Strong analytical skills, Strong Project Management.
  • Reinsurance knowledge and experience of at least 2 years in Non-commercial Insurance.
  • Previous Experience as Reinsurance Technician.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft Office products to support MI and reporting.
Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s/master’s degree in accounting, finance or data analytics.
